At Harvester Flamstead, we're famous all around St. Albans for our young guests menu choice. Here they can get the same freshly-cooked grills, sauces and sides as grown-ups, but in sizes that are just right for them. And they all come with vegetables and salad to help towards their 5 a day. Our restaurant's Smaller Appetites Menu is perfect for our tiniest guests and our Harvey's 5 a day menu - is specially created to give our young guests their 5 a day too.

School visits to Harvester

This school year, primary school children can get an invaluable, behind the scenes view of our restaurants.

The sessions are FREE and include:

• a complimentary lunch for pupils and staff
• a blind taste test at our famous salad bar
• a VIP tour of the kitchen
• a "Which Fruit is in the Box" touch based game
• an alphabet based food word challenge
• some fun facts about fruit and vegetables
• a question and answer session about why fruit and vegetables are good for you

Bring your class along

If you're a primary school teacher, you can apply to bring your class to our restaurant. The lesson is designed for children aged 7 or 8, but pupils as young as 6 or as old as 9 would also enjoy it. Sessions are limited to one class per school, and classes must be no larger than 30 pupils.

Fantastic food packs

We've also been working with education specialists to create 2 Fantastic Food Packs. They're designed for Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils and help teach the importance of balanced diets, food safety and the effect of food on our bodies.
