WE LOVE BARBECUES – WHATEVER THE WEATHER

Here at Harvester, we’ve done a bit of research and found out that a third of British barbecues will go ahead even if the weather is terrible.

After all, why worry about a bit of rain when you can enjoy delicious BBQ ribs, smoky steaks and chargrilled chicken? Only 24% of our survey respondents said they’d cancel, with the rest opting to get out brollies or simply cook inside.

We’re mightily impressed by this fighting spirit – but if you fancy letting someone else do the hard work for you, we’ve got your favourite grills, sauces and sides waiting for you at Harvester, plus all the fresh salad you can eat.

IF ONLY IT WAS SUNNY...

Our research also showed that 50% of all barbecues are affected by rain, but nevertheless, British households host an average of four barbecues per year. And if the weather was reliably dry, we’d have five every month in summer. That’s how much we love barbecues.

You might also be interested to know that 71% of barbecue cooking is handled by men, compared with 70% of everyday meals prepared in the kitchen by women. So it isn’t just a popular myth. Well, it’s nice for the boys to have their chance to shine now and again...
