Our new menu has landed in Chelmsford, and it’s full of fresh new flavours and exciting twists. From our new tapas-style starters to the delicious main meals we’re famous for, it’s inspired by the best of the British harvest and made with quality ingredients that taste great.

Our Gressingham duck wings are British Red Tractor assured, and are served with our spicy Caribbean Piri-Piri sauce. Fancy something extra special? Our Cornish smoked back ribs ­are smoked and expertly hand-trimmed in Cornwall, brushed with our new orchard apple BBQ sauce, then finished on the chargrill.

Our new starters come in tapas-style sharing bowls, so you can explore a little bit of everything – our sweet potato and red onion skewers with spiked maple glaze dip and our grilled chorizo with Padron peppers are the perfect warm-up to your main course.

Let our chefs grill you a delicious burger, then turn it into a towering masterpiece with your favourite topping combinations. We’ve also added new vegetarian options to the menu, like herb battered halloumi and chips and the new nacho burger with Monterey Jack cheese.

We’ve suggested the perfect sauces to complement each dish, but that isn’t to say you can’t experiment. Want to trade for something spicier like our new spiked maple glaze or mango zing sauce? Go ahead – although be warned that our Farmer Rikki’s sauce is intended only for the brave as it contains some of the hottest chillis around…

We’ve also got a brand new Early Bird menu full of your favourites, plus a new selection of delicious desserts, like our deep-fill Bramley apple pie or our Eton Mess sundae. And remember, if you can’t make it to The Plough for a meal out, you can always order a takeaway online.
