Soil Association Awards
Our Peas Please Pledge is ensuring our children’s meals include at least two portions of veg from across our kids menu. Find out more here
We've worked hard on decreasing salt and sugar across all our menus, along with ongoing work on calorie reduction targets, while still providing guests with a great, flavour-filled food every visit.
We’ve achieved top 5 status across restaurants and pubs in the UK for healthy, child friendly options through the nutritional content of our kids menu and the experience of dining in our restaurants. Find out more here
We’re working on several projects which aim to make our environment safer and healthier for future generations.
NET ZERO EMISSIONS by 2040
100% renewable energy
50% reduction in food waste by 2030
zero waste to landfill by 2030
Reducing greenhouse Gas Emissions is a huge priority for us. We have Energy Ambassadors across our restaurants helping to identify ways to reduce energy consumption. We’re also working to reduce the emissions of the ingredients in our menus by working with our suppliers and delivery network
All the electricity we use in our restaurants is powered from renewable sources. All our restaurants use energy efficient lightbulbs and have smart meters and heat recovery units installed.
We’re proud to work with Fareshare, who help redistribute the food we don’t use across the UK, including reaching schools, homeless shelters and community cafes.
We already divert 96% of waste from landfill and are focusing on increasing our recycling rate to 80%. We have also removed the use of all unnecessary single use plastics across our restaurants.
We value every single one of our 5,300 team members and strive to stand out by developing and engaging our people with the best opportunities.
Our Apprentice Scheme
We are proud of our award winning youth strategy, internally promoting and developing our team members with circa 80% of our management teams coming from internal succession. We are committed to the development and support of apprentices and have an in depth programme offering an exciting career journey to help encourage our team members to take that extra step to shape their future. We have 240 team members currently on the programme and 496 who have completed it so far. You can learn more here...
We’re working with leading surplus food app, Too Good To Go, to fight food waste.
Leading the food waste movement, Too Good To Go lets people buy surplus food and drink from restaurants, grocery stores, pubs, cafes and producers to stop it from going to waste.
Every single Harvester restaurant across the UK is now signed up, making sure that any remaining food is eaten and enjoyed, not wasted.
